An example of how important representation is to anyone not male and white

@JimMFelton Folks I’ve been staring at this picture of the people who voted to force women to give birth even in the case of rape and incest for about 10 minutes and I’m getting the weirdest feeling representation might be important.

@JimMFelton White man number 7 looks like he’s proud to be the most qualified in the vote on abortion because he once read about a vagina in a book

Two of the people who voted to ban abortion were called Greg. *Gregs* were better represented than women.

One of the men was named Randy. Fucking *Randies* were also better represented than women, because what I'm saying is there were zero women involved in the abortion vote.

candidate isn't the nominee, no moving to third party candidates because your party's candidate doesn't pass your purity test, no writing in the losing candidate you supported. If we want to protect our rights we need the House, Senate and White House. The GOP has turned into a cult and Jim Jones is at the top serving the Kool-Aid.

it’s their daughter or wife who tragically gets raped and ends up pregnant they all have the resources to obtain a safe abortion in a less red state.

she could have "shut this whole thing down" and prevent pregnancy.

An 11-year-old girl in Ohio was allegedly raped by a 26-year-old multiple times, leaving her pregnant, according to police reports. A state law passed in April, but not yet in effect, says that victims like her won't have a choice to have an abortion — they would have to carry and deliver their rapist's child.

The law prohibits women from obtaining an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected, about five or six weeks into a pregnancy, before most women even know that they're pregnant.
The law provides no exceptions for rape or incest.

In an email to CBS News, the Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost defended the statute. "Sometimes, the evolution of the law requires bold steps," Yost wrote. "In the last 46 years, the practice of medicine has changed. Science has changed. Even the point of viability has changed. Only the law has lagged behind."

When signing the bill, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine focused on the rights of the fetus. "The essential function of government is to protect the most vulnerable among us, those who don't have a voice," he said. "Government's role should be to protect life from the beginning to the end."

Pro rape and pro incest, since they seem to be OK with that. Maybe some looking into their backgrounds is needed;

Look how much info we had about Bart Kavanaugh and he now sits on the SC. The reality is that the Republican party is the party of old, white men and these guys in this picture represent how a lot of old, white men think about women (still).

illogical and lacking reason or scientific proof.

Then they refuse to discuss the repercussions of their actions.

My brother is one of them. He is a catholic priest. I was having dinner with him and his deacon. They know how I feel about the issue and always bring it up in some fashion.

I try to get them to think about outcomes but they refuse to hear it.

Wonder 'aloud' whether this bill will cause any drops in enrollment in the AL college system from out of state students?

I am an Auburn U grad and say my $0.02 is that state is a shithole and I am embarrassed for the time I spent in that state. I am going do my damnedest not to spend a dime in that state again any time soon. Were I in charge of enrollment and marketing for a big 'state school' I would highlight the forced birth aspects of the state law to every high school age girl that was on my school's marketing list.

What about big college sports - will any other state schools, etc. have the will to not play football, hoops, baseball, etc. in AL while that law is in effect?

All those fuckers in the pic are white, surely call themselves 'christian,' certainly vote against raising any level of taxes in their state to fund education and healthcare (you know, stuff that will be needed to help all those forced births) and on and on.
