If only there were some fast, easy way Trump could prove the NYT WRONG!

Something that could really put them in their place and PROVE, once and for all, that they are fraudulent "fake news". No one would believe their liberal lies ever again.

I'm thinking, like... I don't know... some official document showing how much money he made, and maybe even--I know this sounds crazy--how much tax he paid. Maybe a document that is produced on a yearly basis, so that he can prove the NYT wrong over multiple years. Wouldn't that show those bastards!

If only such a document existed, it could really save Trump's ass right now, squelching the worldwide impression that he's really just a broke, worthless bum. But I don't think such a document does exist, and that's too bad.

And they could be verified by some (and I know that this is complete crazy talk) federal agency, then he wouldn't need to say they're fake.

But, again, this is a moot point, because such a document doesn't exist, nor does a Federal Agency Of Taxes Paid, or whatever.

But just think of it: you hate blacks and Mexicans. And up til recently, you didn’t dare let people know. You didn’t feel comfortable being “out ‘n’ proud about that. Hmmmm wonder why? Because maybe deep down you knew it was wrong, or your parents told you we don’t talk that way, or the nuns told you it was wrong to feel that way, or the teacher said we don’t act that way or treat those “others” that way, or grandma said that isn’t nice and we always need to be nice - even if we don’t feel like being nice.

But what if you STILL DO feel that way and think like that and nurse all those grievances about all those icky other people who don’t look like you and are getting the jobs and the benefits and the money and the women you think they don’t deserve because all that stuff is rightfully YOURS?

AND add to that dynamic the fact that you also don’t like being told what to do (particularly when you don’t think you’re in the wrong and that you have every right to feel the way you do about this!) Besides, you’ve got the Limbaughs and Pox Noise people backing you up and making you feel validated. And you DEFINITELY don’t like being told you have to accommodate those people you don’t think you should have to accommodate.

And then, this guy comes along who openly says the things you’ve always felt in your “heart-of-hearts” but weren’t comfortable saying out loud because of what people might think. But look! HE says all that same stuff out loud, in public, making no apologies, and people flock to him and cheer!

So that must mean it’s okay!!! Finally!!! I can be MYSELF! I can fully, proudly, openly, and unapologetically say that stuff too! I can own it with pride! He does it, and look - he’s President! So that means it’s okay!

GAWD, where’s this guy been all my life? He’s the liberator I’ve always wanted and yearned for! I don’t have to stifle my nasty/antisocial/angry/spiteful/racist/sexist/homophobic/resentful feelings anymore! HE says it’s okay! I’m free to do and say and act on anything I damn well feel like doing/saying/acting on! My freedom! My messiah has finally arrived! My bonds have been cut. I’m free (to be as nasty/antisocial/angry/spiteful/racist/sexist/homophobic/resentful as I damn well feel like being)!

I think this is the key. I think this is why they love trump. And stand by him. And support him. And vow to sacrifice it all for him. This is why they cling to him and don’t wanna let go. They see themselves in him. Bigtime. And they feel validated. Somebody FINALLY came along who reassured them that it’s perfectly okay; that it’s right, proper, and even noble, to be that shitty.

I think that explains his “base.”

that he was thought of as a successful, self-made businessman. (As seen on TV)
That is why he got a pass on the access hollywood tape and other follies.

Once that delusion is burst, Trump is naked and very very vulnerable.

More than $50 million in interest income in one year, a vast difference from interest income in other years.

Are there smart accountants here at DU who can calculate how much capital one would have to have to generate $50 million in interest in one year. Quick and dirty? 5% interest on $1 billion is $50 million. So where did the $1 billion come from, if that was the case? More likely? It wasn't interest. It was laundered money. Just sayin'.

And now with the NYT tax fraud story, on top of Trump saying in the 2016 debates that he'd LOVE to release his taxes...refuses to release them AND calls the NYT report false news...

Also: Trumpenfurer just declared Executive Privilege on the Mueller report...

Let me see if I have this right: Trump wants to hide from public view a report he and his personal Attorney General claims exonerates Darling Leader of any wrong- doing, obstruction and NO COLLUSION!

TRUMP: My 'massive' net worth is 'in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS'
Jul 15, 2015, 3:19 PM ET
In fact, he claims his personal fortune is so "massive" that it cannot be detailed on the Federal Election Commission financial-disclosure forms required for White House hopefuls.

Trump's campaign released a statement on Wednesday indicating that he has filed his disclosure forms and that he has a "net worth" that "is in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS."

"This report was not designed for a man of Mr. Trump's massive wealth," the statement said of the FEC forms. "For instance, they have boxes once a certain number is reached that simply state $50 million or more. Many of these boxes have been checked. As an example, if a building owned by Mr. Trump is worth $1.5 billion, the box checked is '$50,000,000 or more.'"
