I also left a message for Speaker Pelosi demanding impeachment as well.

Guarantee Trump’s re-election?

At worst, it’s several months of negative publicity against Trump for free.

Senators up for re-election who don’t vote for removal in the face of a mountain of evidence could lose, even in red states.

At best public opinion shifts to the point that enough GOP Senators break ranks to remove him.

Bottom line is it’s the right thing to do and I don’t see any downside. It will fire up his base, all 35%. It will also fire up our base and educate independents.

We continue to bring feather dusters to gun fights? We cave and step back, justly chastened? I think I we risk losing the House if we don’t stand strong. I think we'll lose enough votes from discouraged Dems who throw up their hands in disgust at our inaction, and throw in the towel and give up on us. I think we stand to have a critical mass of voters desert us if we fail to stand up for THE RULE OF LAW. You know, that stuff that nobody is above?

The very thought of it even makes me wonder what the hell I’m knocking myself out for?

I find myself wondering if trump is - as some pundits say - goading is to impeach, so we WON’T. So we’ll get spooked and start second-guessing ourselves and then fold like so many pieces of paper. I think he’s gaming this, and gaming us.

I think we need to keep our eyes on the prize - and on THE LAW. And the Constitution. You know, that thing that’s included in the Presidential Oath of Office that the president swears on the Bible on Inauguration Day to “preserve, protect, and defend”? That one?

i have been a staunch supporter for some time. have been to many funders, including in her home. have been to many demonstrations.
even worked for her for a bit in 2012.

i am doing my best to appreciate the political pitfalls of not starting impeachment hearings yesterday, but i'm just not feelin it.
there will be no free and fair elections in 2020 if we dont put a stop to the lawlessness that is beginning to permeate the american culture. and there will be no fumigating it if there are 4 more years.
i was a part of the midterm wave. i supported you. i donated as best i could.
i believe that if all voters can vote, and if all the votes are counted, this stain will be washed from our democracy. but those are 2 very big ifs.
