Lyrics
It's nature's way of telling you something's wrong
It's nature's way of telling you in a song
It's nature's way of receiving you
It's nature's way of retrieving you
It's nature's way of telling you
Something's wrong
It's nature's way of telling you, soon we'll freeze
It's nature's way of telling you, dying trees
It's nature's way of receiving you
It's nature's way of retrieving you
It's nature's way of telling you
Something's wrong
It's nature's way, it's nature's way
It's nature's way, it's nature's way
It's nature's way of telling you
It's nature's way of telling you
Something's wrong
It's nature's way of telling you
It's nature's way of telling you
In a song, oh-h
It's nature's way of receiving you
It's nature's way
It's nature's way of retrieving you
It's nature's way
It's nature's way of telling you
Something's wrong, something's wrong, something's wrong

(54,520 posts)And Spirit was one of the greatest unsung bands of the sixties. They made one fatal career decision: not to do Woodstock. There was SO much creativity in that band! Randy Wolf ("Randy California" ) was both an innovative guitarist and songwriter. He was a great loss. Jay Ferguson and Mark Andes are STILL writing music, much of it for TV nowadays.

(31,997 posts)I found this song when I watched the mini-series "The 60's"
I remember the scene vividly. Vietnam, riots, the daughter (Julia Stiles) having a baby on her own because her parents kicked her out for being pregnant. That is after she got in trouble for dancing with a -gasp-black boy
This was a fantastic series. I have it on VHS but wish I could get it on disc

(54,520 posts)It's maybe not on a level with Sgt. Pepper or Younger Than Yesterday, but it is still an iconic collection of songs from a band with brilliant musicians at the height of their creativity, and very diverse.
