They should also be fighting our country's gun-humping pathology.

Only I would change your second sentence to: WE are fighting our country's gun-humping pathology.
Thank you.

The child’s sing song is something you would hear in a horror movie. I’m glad I will never have grandchildren if that is the future normal.

Evening news was interviewing a kid in Syria...about 8 yrs old. Lots of war noise in the background. The kid could pick out the individual weapons by their sound.
JFC!

We haven't gotten there yet... but it looks like we're headed there.

Never sit out another election when there is a democrat that needs your vote. Any democrat/liberal/progressive/conservative democrat on any ballot is better than any republican/libertarian/tea-party facist.

I can tell you that this is what ALL of America's children are NOW dealing with EVERY day.

Their innocence has been ripped away from them and they have been robbed of what should be the best years of their young lives.

If gun owners are going to continue to scream "2nd Amendment", at least lower caliber non-automatic weapons will increase the survivability chance when our "well-regulated militias" decide they feel like shooting at children.

Their response is "people already have them so this won't work". Fine. Nobody else will be able to purchase them.

No child should have to experience this fear on a daily basis. What have we done to make this better for our children. Nothing, thanks to the NRA and gun humpers. I want to scream when they say "Guns don't kill, people do." People with guns have guns to use to kill. period. Yes, there are responsible gun owners and I am not talking about them. Too many people with serious mental health issues have access to guns. Guns are to readily available to anyone in this country that has the money to purchase them. Military grade weapons, bump stocks, and extended magazines have no business being sold to the average gun owner. You do not need them to do hunting. A true hunter gives their prey a chance at eluding them in the name of good sportsmanship. No child should be the prey of a "man or woman with a gun".

rather than make sure children are not threatened at school, we teach them this. at my granddaughter's school, some idiot decided not to let the children know it was only a drill - one of her classmates peed his pants he was so terrified. he will never forget this traumatic event.

I used to have nightmares about fire drills. I can imagine how much worse this is.

The Our Lady of the Angels fire happened when I was ten. It did not help my terror of school fires.
