I was married, wanted children and things went horribly wrong. It was an agonizing decision. I waited long enough that in the end it was life and death for me. No facilities near my home were licensed. We had to travel to the other end of the state... so far from home it required an overnight. I was a the mercy of strangers rather than the doctor I knew.

Republicans believe I deserve jail and the doctor who performed a life saving medical procedure to save my life before that fetus was fully dead on its own deserves to be tried as a baby murderer.

[Redacted] is up there claiming women and doctors are practically giggling with glee over grabbing a baby and murdering it. [Redacted] is either a mentally ill person with hallucinations, or a fucking ass lying piece of shit that needs his face slapped into next century.

We are losing ground. I don't know what we do in the fight for a woman's right to obtain basic medical care. In the meantime there are charities who help women travel to where they must to obtain care. Please support them. Add to the list.

15. A niece of mine decided against abortion twice, even though her children were sadly doomed

to very short lives of pain. And when I say "short" I mean short: hours. Both her children were afflicted with Meckel Gruber syndrome, something she found out about 4-5 months in in both cases. Don't get me wrong... I'm not here to label her a hero or anything as opposed to yourself. She did what her conscience and her religion compelled her to do. Good for her. But, sheesh, what a horror it must be to carry a fetus to term when you know there's no future for the child except almost immediate death. It was not a happy period. How on Earth could anybody criminalize a would-be mother if she had decided the opposite? And fuck trump for demeaning both your pain and your decision.

I don't know, but I vividly remember arguing and pleading with some women in 2016 to vote for the woman that Barack Obama called "THE most qualified person to run for President," when her opponent was the most obviously unqualified and unfit man ever to run for public office.

One of the "reasons" they said they would never vote for Clinton under any circumstances was that, in their words, "there is NO DIFFERENCE between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump!"

I agreed with Barbara Bush when she said she couldn't understand why any woman would ever vote for Trump. In fact, I don't see how any woman or man could have failed to show up and vote against him!
