Self-inflicted wounds add up- this one could be fatal

Here's what he ([Redacted], that is) said, at his Wisconsin pep rally last week:

“The baby is born. The mother meets with the doctor. They take care of the baby. They wrap the baby beautifully. And then the doctor and the mother determine whether or not they will execute the baby.”

This actually happened, Saturday night, April 27th.

I'm pretty sure that [Redacted]'s intention was just to toss a well-done chuck steak to the base in the form of the 'abortion doctors as murderers' meme that the forced-birth advocates are pushing.

There were plenty of ways he could have phrased it that would accomplish that purpose, but [Redacted]'s only talent is his rhetorical skill with flammable embroidery. That is, coming up with the words, the best words, the most incendiary words, the most emotionally-laden words, to push powerful buttons in his specific audience. Even when the actual words themselves are nothing but salad with zero factual or logical content.

He does it on the fly, instinctively, without planning or preparation, without consultation or testing. Without considering second- or third-order consequences. It is the dark gift of the demagogue, the con artist, the accomplished grifter.

So that was an "applause line" when he tossed it out to that audience of cult-addled worshippers.

Then it started getting reported, per usual, on the post-sploogefest list of "outrageous antifactual utterances from The Guy With The Nuclear Launch Codes". A long list, every time. The cumulative list would beat George RR Martin's page count. Or Gibbon's.

And therein lies the trap: Any one thing on those lists can (and often does) serve as outrage fuel for the already-outraged. But there's just so much, it dilutes the impact of any one thing. And the context of the list- "It was just pep-rally hyperbole"- provides a layer of insulation. Thus, he generally gets away with it.

This time, though, I'm not so sure.

Scroll up and read those words again.

The calculated inhuman murderous sadism he attributes to... mothers? Physicians? -is almost nauseating to contemplate. Sure, his pep-rally audience is on board with it.

And sure, the already-outraged are, predictably, outraged. By that among many other sources of horrific outrage.

But what about the people who haven't drunk his sploogefest koolaid and who haven't already spent countless hours on social media trying to gin up awareness of just how morally bankrupt he and his co-conspirators are?

The ordinary folks whose response to him, up to this point, have ranged from a mildly inattentive "He says some outrageous things but he also said some things I agree with, so BFD." to an avoidant and distasteful wish that he'd just STFU and quit tweeting, FFS. Those people.

They're reading those words. The words that explicitly state The Guy With The Nuclear Launch Codes thinks mothers and doctors calculate a kind of coldly sadistic infanticidal postpartum ritual on a regular basis.

And they're starting to respond.

And it's not good.

Anyone who's ever been touched by infant death (check the infant mortality statistics for the past fifteen years, and then think about the number of people touched by each of those deaths- parents, siblings, medical teams, counselors, and more) or who's experienced neonatal crisis and the kind of all-out mortal combat the nurses and doctors mobilize to save a child's life is seeing those words.

He thinks that about mothers (like the one(s) I know) and doctors (like the one(s) I know)?

WTF?!?

What kind of SICK FUCK can even CONTEMPLATE that bullshit, much less say it, in public, from the bulliest pulpit our government provides?

And they're starting to realize that yes, The Guy With The Nuclear Launch Codes is THAT kind of sick fuck.

And they're not happy with the knowledge.

They're unlikely to actually do much with it, in terms of, say, demanding impeachment right this instant, or using some media/social media outlet to express their horror, or whatever. The vast majority of them will never be polled about it.

But they vote.

And I suspect the queasy, uncomfortable memory of just what kind of sick fuck is on the ballot WILL have an influence.

thoughtfully,
Bright

This is not a quick explosion. It's a slowly-rolling boil, and it may well boil over just in time for November of 2020.

Again, it's not "the" factor. But I think it's definitely becoming a factor, and a big one.

Green Bay is about 30 miles from that deplorable senator's home turf. The HQ of the John Birch Society is still in Appleton. The whole area is "dead-red". Trump and his handlers did their homework in finding a friendly place for his mega-rant/rally.

The only place in Wisconsin that has a higher percentage of ignorant people is the entire region north of State Highway 64: Toothless, Inbred, Crystal Meth Heaven, where there's even a KKK base (Mercer). Up there, it's more than mosquitoes that suck.

But, on abortion, he remains constant. (Even tho he was pro-choice before he ran for government), now he wants women, doctors and PP all punished and put in jail or even given the death penalty. His base eats this shit up. If he EVER declared that he was switching to pro-choice, they'd abandon him like rats on a sinking ship. Look at his crowds. Watch him. Watch them. When the crowd gets restless or starts to thin, he works them up into foaming at the mouth about abortion. It's the ONLY think he's got left to offer them.

See guests on recent YouTube videos of JimBakker shows.

They bring out newborns lovingy held and say 'see, this is what those evil people (Democrats, Satanic baby-killers) want to kill.

They are going to push this hard to remind Religious Right 'what's at stake'. Constant drum beat!!

From February 11:

Democrats are also pushing extreme late-term abortion. Allowing children to be ripped from their mother's womb right up until the moment of birth. What's that all about?...But the governor stated that he would even allow a newborn baby to come out into the world and wrap the baby and make the baby comfortable. And then talk to the mother and talk to the father and then execute the baby. Execute the baby. Incredible. Millions of innocent, beautiful babies are counting on us to protect them and we will. That is why last week I go I called on Congress, with your great congressman over there -- thank you, fellas -- to immediately pass legislation prohibiting extreme late-term abortion.”

Trump deliberately instigates violence. In the case of people who are fanatically anti-choice, he has an already-violent core who willingly support the murder of doctors who abort zygotes, and have been calling pro-choice people like me "baby killers" for 30+ years.

All that matters to Trump is whipping his cultists into a murderous frenzy.

This is just the latest in the endless sea of his quotes that I've said to myself, "OK. SURELY this is enough. The American public is not going to stand for this level of irresponsibility and depravity from their chief elected official. This HAS to be enough."

And we've been shown time and time and time again, that not only will a sizeable voting bloc of the American public STAND for it, they will swallow it whole and scream for more. There are days where I simply am close to running out of hope for this country.

If this person wins re-election, I am seriously considering leaving this American Gilead.

His people don't care. He's saying what they believe and feel. They're in agreement with him.

I was listening to an NPR interview last week that included many local journalists that cover politics in particular regions, and who meet many different constituents of the various campaigns, etc. He said it's difficult to gauge what the likely outcome of the 2020 presidential will be, but one thing he made very clear: tRump's core "base" haven't moved one step. He said he asked a friend/acquaintance of his who is, according to the journalist, a "big Trump guy" why he'd vote for him again? The guy replied, "What did he do wrong?"

If that one reply doesn't chill every person on this platform, I don't know what would. If that particular tRump voter has not been horrified by his rhetoric and his erratic, dysfunctional, chaotic behaviors and policies by now, he never will be. Likely this guy has never watched anything in his pathetic life except Fux Spews and sports programs. He's totally and completely oblivious and will never get a clue. His mind has been turned to mush too long ago to be salvaged. And there are many more exactly like him - enough to get this orange dumpster fire reinstalled.

it would be wise for Dem candidates and interested media to focus in on one such statement like this and hammer away at it. Then call on him to clarify--ask him about it all the time. Until he is forced to back down.

He only does it to further his cult. To gaslight them into a reality that all of his followers must accept. That, to him, is power and winning.

Absolutely Trump is a sick fuck and his rally crowds are brownshirts in training. This entire hate movement must be crushed in it's infancy asap.

56. How true was the rumor in 2016 that he had to be talked out of aborting Tiffany?

Especially since the rumor of him sodomizing the 15-year old girl (furnished to him by Epstein) seems more plausible every day? Those two rumors, if proven, might be worth reducing a couple of Approval Points.
