Rosenstein writes words of praise for Barr in Time Mag.

WILLIAM BARR "Interpreter Of Justice"
By Rod Rosenstein

U.S. Attorney General William Barr
David Butow—Redux for TIME

The enthusiasm in and around the Department of Justice was palpable when President Trump announced his nomination of Attorney General William Pelham Barr. A brilliant and principled conservative lawyer, Barr brings unique experience to the challenge of working at the intersection of law and politics.

During his first stint as Attorney General, from 1991 to 1993, Barr dealt with politically sensitive cases, appointed special and independent counsels, handled delicate national-security issues, and navigated contentious congressional oversight requests. He earned widespread respect for his integrity and professionalism, and he enhanced that reputation in the private sector.

Now Barr returns to public service with a hearty sense of humor, a lifetime of wisdom and a valuable perspective about the Department of Justice. He knows the history, he understands the issues, he respects the employees, and he will defend the principles. With Bill Barr at the helm, the rule of law is secure.

I simply can't figure out why so many seemingly bright people are willing to be smeared forever by having their careers forever tarnished by doing Trump's bidding.

Shameless greed must be a powerful thing.

one time thought. Did he think we wouldn't notice? That we all just accepted his Comey letter as no big deal? (Poor guy was just trying to deal with the crazy maggot. Can you imagine how hard that must have been on him?)

I don't know about anyone else but I've wondered and waited since it first came out. Not for one moment did it seem okay to me. But I was willing to keep my mouth shut because of his Mueller hiring. Honestly, he could have been trying to make things right. Now we know it wasn't to make things right for our country but to make things right for himself.

Did he honestly think we wouldn't notice? Or that his word was above reproach because he hired Mueller?
