She's vowing to spill the beans on Chris Christie. Seems to be a little late for that but hey, dishing on what she knows, even at this late date might make me smile.
Just because someone has the title of governor, doesnt give them the right to mislead others, Kelly said. Its dishonorable, and it only shows that person for the coward he is.
Christie has denied knowing about the scheme and was never charged.
Claiming that she was one of the scapegoats in Bridgegate, Kelly vowed to set the record straight on Bridgegate and Christies role in it in the future.
The days of you calling me a liar and destroying my life are over. The truth will be heard, and for the former governor, that truth will be inescapable, regardless of lucrative television deals or even future campaigns, she said. I plan to make sure of that.

(2,419 posts)it took until now for Ms. Kelly to speak out. Surely she had the opportunity to flip on the governor. Instead, she allowed David Wildstein to serve her up on a platter to the U.S. Attorney. Baroni as well. Did they expect something for their loyalty?
From the NJ.Com article....This sure sounds like she's placing culpability with Christie. This kind of definitive statement should have been made long ago. As depraved as her actions seemed at the time, I've come to feel sorry for Ms. Kelly. Christie had a guardian angel somewhere and she certainly didn't . I'm sure she has come to regret the "is it wrong that I'm smiling" remark several times over. At the end, she's a single mom with 4 kids and what has to be a crushing legal bill to Mike Critchley and very few job prospects.
She said there was only one person powerful enough to approve that, and that was the governor himself.
Kelly said she has been silenced and intimidated, but would not remain quiet any longer.

(6,252 posts)each other up. Christie left office with a dismal approval rating. Our new Dem Governor Murphy lols like he may have the chops to go far and is very progressive.

(1,896 posts)He should never be able to wash off the stink of what he did in NJ. Bridgegate was only the most visible. I don't get why Baroni and Kelly didn't turn on him. Maybe she just didn't have the documents that Cohen squirreled away.
