so sick of this SHIT
Ever heard of damned if you do, damned if you dont?
Do you UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT MEANS?
And just so there is NO GOD DAMN misunderstanding, I support my party EITHER WAY! That is how this WORKS!
I am talking about the non stop bashing of our leaders for not impeaching, yet.

(31,798 posts)But that's some serious bullshit.
I'm a Democrat and I'm not responsible for that wasted fuck wad in the WH. I did not vote for the 45, I wanted folks, they didn't listen - they need to own their votes.

(21,994 posts)I think that is legitimate to ask. That is what we criticize the republicans for.

(25,456 posts)It's pretty clear that Democrats don't put party over the Constitution. If you believe that every Democrat not at this very moment screaming "impeachment" from the rooftops is proof of your assertion, you are mistaken.

(31,109 posts)they are putting COUNTRY over party.
SIGH
TwilightZone
(25,456 posts)And I mean that sincerely. The people who are pushing the "Dems are weak" narrative either slept through the 2018 mid-terms and the past couple of years, or they're just trolling and/or trying to get a rise out of people.
They're also some of the same people who think this is a binary choice - unless Dems impeach, they're condoning Trump's behavior, blah, blah. Which is nonsense.
Either way, it's not worth getting worked up over.

(31,261 posts)You would find that the majority voted for Stein, wrote in Bernie or sat at home. Take their "criticism" for what it is worth and don't run up your blood pressure.
Many of the same culprits on Twitter.

(31,109 posts)to impeach him then for a number of reasons.
BUT I see what the right and putin is doing, he and they are once again using the DECENCY and PATRIOTISM of liberals to divide us.
ONCE AGAIN, you see.
Happens ALL THE TIME.
We support our party leaders no matter if they impeach or not because the ALTERNATIVE IS CONTINUED FASCISM!

(37,648 posts)LOL.
Seriously, I agree with you. I'm tired of seeing the reptitious bashing of the Democratic leaders for not doing what they would do.
I've said all along...we have one shot at it. There's more than one issue. They haven't even seen the unredacted report or seen all the evidence the report relied on. It's more complicated than people think.
I said the Democratic leaders would have meetings, discuss strategy and possible outcomes and scenarios, would disagree, but ultimately come up with a game plan on what to do.
And look! They're meeting tomorrow.
Also...posters have repeatedly complained about the Democrats in Congress not investigating! I finally posted a list of the investigations and documents and subpoenas that they've been working on since February, and started planning in January...immediately after taking office. (Instead of going on the talk show circuit and tweeting...many on the Hill hit the ground running, and immediately started filing bills and assigning committees and planning investigations.)

(31,109 posts)I was for impeachment DAY TWO and SAID SO here and elsewhere.
This is NOT about that.
This is about how the KGB and GOP are posting on message boards and social media to DIVIDE us
AGAIN
Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)I think Pelosi, Schiff, Schumer, and the whole team of Democratic leaders will do what needs to be done, in the best way for the country and for the Democrats. I think they've had a game plan since Day One, which is changeable, depending on various scenarios.
I think we have a great team of experienced leaders. We are really lucky.

(51,550 posts)That person was merely expressing the valid concern that the Democratic Party will be perceived as weak by voters if we do not proceed to formal impeachment investigations, considering the obvious evidence of obstruction of justice before us. https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=12034630
No one is blaming the Dems for a "fucking TRAITOR NAZI criminal being in the White House."
I support my party either way as well. I do not see "nonstop bashing" of our party leaders for not impeaching, yet. Calling for impeachment is not bashing our leaders, it is standing up to Trump in support of our Constitution. I try to reserve my rage for Trump, not my fellow DUers.
