I don't think we'll ever see either. While someone would be an idiot to vote for a President that hasn't already released his tax returns, the election is over. Under current law, he has a right to keep his tax returns private. We won't be able to pass a law addressing that until he is out of office. At the point, it will be a moot point.

As for a unredacted report, I think that would violate grand jury secrecy laws. I'm not an expert, but I think that this is also very unlikely to happen for a very long time.

We need to focus on winning 2020.

Trump is still president and not yet a private citizen. Neal’s authority isn’t limited by needing a reason. As written, the law is clear. Adam Schiff, as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee & Jerry Nadler, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee have legal authority to see the full, unredacted Mueller report, including the grand jury testimony. They can also request grand jury testimony be unsealed.

Without a doubt, Republicans will double down on their efforts to stonewall. Too much is at stake to give them a pass.

Yes, we need to focus on winning in 2020. Without a doubt, Republicans will ramp up their cheating.

No one chooses to fight a war in two fronts. However, not doing so could easily mean the end of our republic. The fascists are here. As I see it, we don’t have a choice.
