"The Mueller Report Shows That Bad Guys Who Play Dirty, Like Trump, Always Win"

In his "First Thoughts" piece in The Guardian, Jonathan Freedland tells us that although we had hoped that Mueller would be the savior to deliver us from Trump, we are disappointed because he did not quite deliver the smoking gun. Instead, the report, "handed the American public and their elected representatives a fully loaded revolver, with a note attached: 'Now, it's up to you.'

Two comments in Freedland's piece are telling. First: "Mueller emerges as a ref who allowed himself to be bullied by an especially belligerent star player."

Second is with respect to Mueller finding evidence of criminal conspiracy: "Because we knew we couldn't indict Trump for crimes, we made sure not to find any."

The article can be read here:

This bit about Junior being too dumb to know he was colluding. Only a rich white guy could get away with ignorance of the law. Privilege.

Honestly, disappointed.

History will not be kind.

As usual, the meek are hamstrung.

Easter reference.

by impeachment of MF45 and Barr, I guarantee that Democrats will be attacked and investigated 24/7 by republicons. tRump, Fox, Limpbough, Hannity etc will bray 24/7 "NO COLLUSION!!!" "INNOCENT!!!" "WITCH HUNT!!!" "ANGRY DEMS!!!!" "SET-UP!!!" . The average person who doesn't follow politics will soon believe that MF45 is innocent, was persecuted and is in fact a great president, because that's what they've been told, and after all NOTHING HAPPENED TO HIM.

There MUST be consequences for every one of the tRump cabal. Even if Senate republicon scum fails to convict, some people will realize they're complicit. If House Democrats don't bother to try, they may as well just say tRump's innocent, because that's how it will look.

I certainly understand they can't "rush to impeachment", but in this disaster of an administration, the public needs to see direct action taken at a pace appropriate for the urgency.

The problem is, do you really want to put trust in this rigged Supreme Court?

It's up to the House Dems to make strategic moves that will curry favor with the public. I agree we need public support, and that means mining nuggets from that Report to change public opinion.
