(269,328 posts)after tonight and well over $500,000 after 10 days. If this continues he will have broken every record by next week Monday or Tuesday

(36,507 posts)This is his third day of filming, so he's still fresh

(269,328 posts)The longer the stay, the harder to keep up the momentum.
Great point

(36,507 posts)I've always wondered about it when we see contestants who appear to be really, really strong for, say, four or five episodes, then crash horribly the next day. I'm guessing a lot of individuals slept really poorly outside their comfort zone and are totally off their game; Jeopardy! is 90% mental and the other half is physical.
You can observe a lot by watching

Watson would beat him but I wonder by how much.

(269,328 posts)Broke his own one day earnings record. Now owns the top four one day earnings. Over $600,000 now - this is mind blowing!!!

(5,352 posts)But he seems like a nice guy so I'm feeling guilty about that, too.
I don't think Alex is pleased.

(269,328 posts)I feel sorry for his competitors but I'm having fun watching him demolish all and sundry.
This is historic so I'm taking it in.

flotsam
(3,268 posts)Trebek had run out of questions after a long series of wins and asked him-"Well Ken is there anything else you would like to tell us?"
Jennings reply (Paraphrased-it's been a while) "Yes Alex, I once killed a man down south..."
malaise
(269,328 posts)Jennings won 74 but if James stays for 74 days, Jeopardy will run out of money.
He already has the top four one day earnings and could pass Ken's money total in days ( if he continues to win).
I think you may be right in terms of 74 games - I don't think James has the temperament to stay around that long.
flotsam
(3,268 posts)I meant in terms of personality. I think almost everybody loved Ken.
