when they adopted the breathless "Trump just ate a cheese sandwich" method of following on the campaign. He is very media savvy and played them like a fiddle. 5. They have a duty to cover it.

It's news, whether we approve of it or not. The same goes for covering the idiotic things Trump says and does. The media is going to cover him because he's the president. Just because it's ridiculous doesn't mean it's not newsworthy or that they approve.

Besides, a boycott would accomplish nothing. The information will be online almost immediately after it's released. And Trump would immediately pounce with the "liberal media" nonsense.
