Ohio Governor signs BAN on Abortion after 1st Heartbeat. ......

According to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine after signing into law the most stringent ban on abortion in the country, he will have a fight on his hands.

Republicans are doing their best to make sure Democrats win back the states in 2020 that Trump won in 2016, Ohio being one of them. For many women do not know they are pregnant until 6 weeks or so.

It is obvious all these states passing restrictions want to get a case to the high court to overturn Roe.

for us to fight back and take it all the way to the Supreme Court where the Republicans believe they have the votes to outlaw abortion... this is really scary stuff going on... people need to start remembering (before RoevWade) the women dying and suffering from illegal abortions or... being forced to continue an unwanted pregnancy that potentially alters the entire course of their lives

Our last governor’s race was very close in popular vote ... yet the GOP won 60% of the districts, and it should be a lot less, considering Sherrod Brown was re-elected, too.

Not to say we don’t have our share of misogynists here.

These cruel knuckle draggers make me want to vomit. It’s the same ones over and over who keep forcing this issue, and they keep getting elected in their districts. I hate DeWine as much as I hate Trump. It is so stressful when you live in a decent state run by cruel misogynists.

Every one of these “heartbeat” bills have been struck down by the courts ...DeWine’s administration is only 3 and 1/2 months along, yet this is one of the first items on their agenda. They make me so disgusted and appalled. I can’t put into words how much I hate them !!!

It must be so frustrating for you to live there. I go to Cinci for work sometimes and I have to remind myself to keep my mouth shut because I'm not in Boston anymore. There are definitely some liberals there, but they are few and far between. Lots of "Christians".

I hope things go better for you guys in the future. I feel your pain. I know how disappointed you must be under the current circumstances. :hi

There are a lot of things I love about Ohio, but to be honest, if my adult kids didn't live here, we'd move. I hate what Republicans are doing to our state. Maybe if it gets bad enough, and people wake up, we can change it. But we're stuck with this asshole of a governor for 4 more years .... De Wine makes Kasich look like Bernie Sanders. I hate that little weasel! (DeWine, not Sanders, lol).

I am insulted that 4 cells are more important than I am. More important than my daughter and granddaughters.
When this comes up in SCOTUS again, we have to argue the 13th amendment, the one about involuntary servitude. That’s what forced childbearing is.

Women who are in situations where abortion may be necessary will be buying the things by the crate and peeing on them once a week.

And then what happens? EPT kits sold by prescription only? All mail addressed to pregnancy-age women x-rayed to ensure no pregnancy tests are in it?

I agree with what Rosie M said, she said if men could have babies abortion clinics would be on every corner like Convenience Stores.

A minority of this nation will not rest till we are living in a combo of “1984” and “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and an end to the principles of FDR’s New Deal.

Time for decent fair minded progressives to take his nation back from the brink.
