Usually, I'm pretty calm and don't get riled up, but today the news seems to be all KGOP hateful, vengeful, stupid day. Between killing Obamacare, crippling Special Olympics, hiding Fed reports on toxins to a wide range of species to threatening Rachel Maddow, it seems everyone in the KGOP looney bin has escaped. They just seem crazier than usual. Kinda depressing.

2. I haven't watched any of it since Friday.

I’ve opted to watch movies on DirectvNOW.

I know the pattern too well by now. My age and experience helps a lot. At 70 I’m a child of the 60s so my experience has shown me that time is probably the most important factor in how things pan out. Specific incidences rarely remain an end all.

4. Crazier than usual seems like desperation to me.

I think they realize that the Barr letter is the last good news on the Mueller front and his full report is likely to be damning. They want to ride this wave of misinformation and misdirection as long as they can. So they try to have their enemies publicly punished and key issues pushed hard, in order to energize their base and discourage ours. They bruit narratives they know are not supported by evidence, but by the common misreading of the careful wording by Barr.

It’s important to note that the status of the counterintelligence investigation has not yet been shared with Congress. That’s coming within the next 30 to 60 days, we’re told. That is likely to contain a narrative expanding on Manafort’s role in sharing polling data with Kilimnik and Stone’s communications with Wikileaks.

6. I have been watching Netflix when I do watch tv. Not much of a tv person anyway.

Over at a friend’s house earlier, who always has CNN on, and I told her she had to mute it or I was leaving lol. We took our dogs for a walk and talked about gardening. I have not been able to watch the orange creep since he took office, but this mess makes it even worse. I just cannot watch it.
