Did the "Barr Report" change how you will vote?

My guess is that zero readers of DU changed their plans to vote against Trump. though we haven[t seen the Mueler Report I don't think it will change the view of many DU readers. But DU readers alone cannot win the 2020 election. We have to put aside our disappointment, anger, and despondency from losing a battle that we all thought we would win. Losing a battle does not mean we will lose the war.

We have to double down our efforts to work at winning the war. That doesn't mean just putting up a yard sign or a bumber sticker on your car or preaching to the choir by posting something here on DU. So what do I mean?

Joining a march or a rally that is opposing Trump or his policies? Rallys and marches serve a purpose in firing up and keeping our supporters excited but they don'g win over a lot of voters. what I am talking about that everyone of us can do is talk the Truth. At every opportunity with friends over a beer, at a family gathering or with co-workers during break time start a political discussion and tell them why you are voting against Trump in the next election.

To do that you need to know your facts. Just telling them you are voting against him because you don't like him or because you don't think he has been a good President won't win over an moderates or others that might vote for Trump without even knowing why. Be prepared to give them reasons not to vote for him. Know your facts. Know the Truth.

**Trump lies; Depending on what fact checker you use Trump has told between 8000 and 11000 lies since he took office. To answer the Repub. Argument that all presidents lie, The Times has found that Trump has lied nearly 6-times as much in just 10-months as Obama did during his entire 8-years in office. #

**Broken promises: He promised to build a concrete wall from sea to shinning sea that would eliminate illegal emigrants, drugs, and human traffickers from crossing the border. DHS has said that 90% of drugs enter the US at Ports of Entry. They said some comes in through tunnerls, by air and sea and even the US mail. A wall would not stop any of that. He also promised that Mexico would pay for it. In his first telephone conversation with Mexico's President Pena Nieto Mexico's President told him Mexico would not pay for it. Trump told him that was ok, just not say that publicly because it would hurt him politically.

** Health Care. He promised to repeal the ACA (Obama-Care) but couldn't come up with a replacement.

Robert Reich has made a list of 30 of the most important promises that Trump made but broke (Google it for the list) You Tube has a video of Reich talking about those promises.

In any conversation that you get into about Trump, this fact will usually get the attention of all but the most avid Trump supporters and it is about character. Ninety percent of US voters says it’s important for a president to be a good role model for kids — but less than a third believe that Donald Trump fits the bill, a new poll said Thursday.

By a margin of 67 percent to 29 percent, Americans don’t consider Trump a good role model for children, according to the Quinnipiac University survey.

Nearly any business person will tell you that word of mouth is the best form of advertising. So do a little studying about the problems you are concerned about, take notes if necessary and put it in your wallet or purse and start talking. We can win this.
