William Barr was not appointed to offer oversight of the Executive Branch.

He is part of the Executive Branch.

As is Robert Mueller.

The Congress should not accept the word of either of them as clearing Donald Trump. They should look at all the evidence and make a decision for themselves.

We would like to think that people like Barr and Mueller could not be manipulated but, from our experiences of the last couple of years, that may be a far stretch?

The Congress should have the last word. We should not yet accept that there was no collusion or obstruction.

I put Mueller up way too high on a pedestal.

2. Don't give up,

Was Barr a plant by Mueller all along to use to go after trump and his family with? Do they have a huge stack of sealed indictments waiting for them all? Mueller is way too smart for this to be over , and I think he's set a trap for trump and his family he won't escape from, and with Barr as the AG. Remember Mueller and Barr are very ,very close friends, and both by the book law and justice purists. Also by Mueller farming out a lot of this it opens up more abilities for deeper and more complete investigations , and more prosecutions. This may be a smart move by Mueller and Barr now doing this. We just don't know yet, but i trust Robert Mueller will be a hero before this is all over with, and along with Barr. I'm not ready to turn on him without knowing a lot more, but he's like one of the greatest prosecutors of our life time, so not yet. This all could have been planned out. Maybe trump was recorded by Barr demanding he stop this investigation at once, and they knew he would do that.
