When a rich person says "money isnt everything and isnt really THAT important"

They are full of shit liars, and I can prove it.

Think about your day yesterday or today. What did you do, if you had ten million or more in the bank, how DIFFERENT would your day be?

For instance lets say you were moving, maybe just across town. From your apartment to this cute house you bought or are going to rent.

If you have tons of money, you hire someone to do EVERYTHING for you and on the LAST day of everything you stay in a Four Seasons and go to the new house the next day.

If you are not rich, you do EVERYTHING yourself and those few weeks are LIVING HELL. apply this to any part of your life, any and every day in the past.

TELL ME what you did Wednesday or yesterday or Monday and I will show you what I mean.

Hey I like money too. I don't see myself hiring a bunch of people to follow me around.

Id would upgrade my truck. Id get a very nice boat. I would worry about retirement less. But I would still do this same job. Same house etc.

The movie probably had more impact on my life than any other movie I've seen. Im sure of it in fact.

The Kid in that movie. That was me in that same era. (Except I didn't have a cute girlfriend, nor almost start WW III). But I was war-dialing, trying to get free games. I did hack the school computer, got caught, damn near prosecuted for it. Fortunately there was really no laws against it at that time.

Watching that movie feels like a time machine - minus the pretty girl and nuclear weapons.

Sometimes it seems like I have no time for myself because I'm always doing chores or errands or stocking my booths at the antique shop. Wouldn't it be nice to have a cleaner come in or a chef take care of dinner or a bookkeeper to keep track of the bills? I wish I had money right now. I suspect a friend will soon be on the liver transplant list and I doubt he'll have enough money to cover expenses . . . assuming his health coverage will take care of the surgery. Guess I'd make a lousy rich person because I think of ways to give it away before I get it.

As income in my family income has increased, I outsource more and more. For example, I no longer mow my lawn; I pay someone. The last few times my wife wanted to change the color of of the living room, I hired a painter. And for many odd jobs, I have a handyman I call.

Rather than buy stuff, I prefer to get someone to do stuff I dont particularly enjoy doing or that I'm not good at doing. Plus, it provides someone a job.

I would be on a beach or learning something in some strange land or whatever.

NOTHING is the same with money, real money.

It also helps you recover easier from mistakes or illness. It only becomes a liability to your character when you count on your money to bolster an ego that becomes self-destructive to you and everyone around you.

What exactly I have no idea but my initial thinking would be same shit different day just in possibly nicer surroundings so by that virtue things would certainly be different.

money would buy me my own snow plow so my car wouldn't be stuck in the middle of the driveway right now

money wouldn't change the fact that there is so much snow that I am living in a cave... the only window not covered by snow is one facing North... but... I'm sure if I had more money, it might be more fun living in said cave

what is left of my house...

But, we'd do so with a huge peace of mind knowing we were financially secure. Just imagine not worrying about bills, about whether a check will clear, about how you'll send the kid to college, and on and on.

Complete financial peace would change everything!
