Even if the investigation itself is finished, unfinished prosecutions arising from it or spun off from it are in progress and can't be stopped.

And not the ones where the grand jury has already made a sealed indictment, as far as I know.

and he's very unlikely to interfere with the other federal prosecutions unless he wants his own ass hauled before the House Judiciary Committee.

keep in mind that Barr did that out of loyalty to Bush the Elder. In the decades since, he has remained loyal to the Bush family. And the Bush family is not pro-Trump.

subpoena him and make him testify under oath about what he did and why he did it. I doubt that he wants to deal with that.

Put him under oath for a number of reasons. I do not think he was pressured to end early. But I'm curious why he didn't interview Trump, or put him in front of the grand jury. Did he want to, but was stopped by the DOJ? There are hundreds of important questions.

I think he had passed a lot of cases to three other districts. He began doing so, when he recognized Trump wanted to fire him. Even if his part is done, there's much more to come.

But he has dealt with much smarter and more dangerous crooks than Trump.

We are in a good position. Indeed, that's why Trump was barking about "not understanding" why a man who got no votes gets to write a report.

This is conspiratorial nonsense that is harmful to spread.

The AG cannot shut down a special counsel.

I was afraid people would start freaking out and getting all conspiratorial and assuming facts not in evidence. And sure enough... But there's nothing Barr can do to stop what's been set in motion, and I feel confident that the House Judiciary Committee will make sure that the contents of the report will be made public.
