What we are about to witness today is only possible because of all of us.... we who worked tirelessly to flip the House.
As the President has his most embarrassing day since he took office, remember that YOU did this.
Give yourselves a hand.

(7,888 posts)Senator. In addition, Mark Kelly has announced his run for the 2nd Senate seat. Arizona is not yet blue, but we are moving forward toward a better future.

(22,166 posts)(or earlier if possible) the Senate will turn blue and the house even more bluer. rump single handedly will have destroyed the republican party and they in turn (the republicans) will clearly show to all Americans just how far they will go in breaking the laws of this country and trod over the rights of others, to support their party over country mantra.
I hope there are more 'embarrassing' days to come for this administration.

(21,809 posts). . .the blue wave of 2018 was possible only because of the hard work us little folks put into the 2017 elections.
You know, the so-called odd-number elections that too many of us passed over in previous years. . .to our regret.
Well, 2019 is another odd-number election year. But it is also a critical one. Most local offices in your area are in play, as well as 3 state governorships (Louisiana, Mississippi and Kentucky) AND their state legislatures. Flipping these seats from red to blue would give us good guys another tremendous boost going into 2020.
Which is why I am undecided on POTUS candidates for now. It's just not a priority with me in 2019. As a district leader, I've got work to do on the local level to keep my hometown mayor, city council rep and county legislator rep in their respective offices.
If I have some time, I'll also toss in some $$$ and postcards for the races down South.
EVERY YEAR IS AN ELECTION YEAR.
So pace yourselves, folks.

(7,888 posts)GOP so badly in 2020 that they will take their Russian/Chinese money and retire to "spend more time with family".
I sometimes tire of the constant "noise" that borders on or crosses the line between spin and criminal behaviours from these bags of wind and Benedict Arnolds occupying elected offices.

I suggest some STIFF fines for each and every one of them.
Don't ever give them a chance to sit back in some bucolic setting and think to themselves, "it was worth it"

(7,888 posts)If I were a vindictive person (that's a thought), I would make sure that their legal and money problems haunt them after they leave office. Right now, even the defense of the evil empire is being financed on our dime.

Government for the rich, by the rich, and with rich folks money is good enough.
