Judge doesn't throw Roger Stone in jail, instead hands him an even worse punishment

Judge doesn’t throw Roger Stone in jail, instead hands him an even worse punishment

Judge Amy Berman Jackson decided not to revoke Roger Stone’s bail today and send him to jail. But she instead handed Stone what, for him, is an even worse punishment: she’s made him irrelevant for the rest of his life.

[ ... ]

This means that Roger Stone, ever the publicity hound, is now irrelevant. No more provocative Instagram posts. No more interviews. No more Infowars appearances. He’s finished. He can still go home and go out to dinner and such, but we all know his nature, and he’ll quickly incriminate himself in a manner which will ensure his conviction. He’ll also quickly violate this full gag order, meaning he’ll go to jail. This is Roger Stone’s worst nightmare.

That Palmer Report article gave me a lift. I was disappointed Stone didn't go to jail. He's addicted to the attention, so it will be torture for him until he finally cracks.

so he has dug himself deeper in trouble and his dishonest dodgy statements today can be used against him in his eventual sentencing

I was really hoping he'd get locked up, but yes, making him irrelevant is probably worse than going to jail. He'll wind up there soon enough, anyway.

So, the only way your statement would be true is if you believe that she herself would treat a person of color differently based on their race.

Get that: Roger Stone, the arrogant narcissist who famously said it's better to be known for evil than not known at all, was begging like a toad. She granted him his wish.

Now he has to give his statements through someone else. He's still out there, free to be seen, free to be heard through the voices of others.

In jail, where he would really have been silenced, as well as physically put away, he would have been irrelevant.

This is baffling, why she didn't throw him in the slammer to await trial.

His supporters believe there is an underground complex of chained children under a one story metro pizza joint. Id say a good portion of em also think the earth is flat, but anyway.

At least now he gets the rope to legally hang himself since we all know he can't keep out of the spotlight

In some jurisdictions, poor people who cant pay their fine on small infractions and can't afford to pay the bond end up waiting for months in jail. If you are rich and privileged, you get to sit it out in your nice home.
