Trump's continuous drama, over and over and over. Yet always the same plot, same characters, same same same same.
Tired of the talking heads endlessly talking about him. Tired of him showing up in my FB news feed. Tired of his tweets. Tired of his lies. Tired of his stupidity. Tired of his vulgarity, his cruelty, criminality. Trump has become just another TV and movie genre that I instantly dislike and never watch, because it is so very tiresome and predictable.
The very best thing that I can say, is that as an extremely unpleasant experience that comes before me, Trump challenges me to maintain a calm and peaceful mind, rather than allowing anger to kidnap me and drag me out the door.
Turn all-Trump off, and turn on some classical music to clean the atmosphere and lift my spirits.

(9,090 posts)to shut it all down and start a 'real' investigation of all the people involved, all the way up to obama.
"these are all people who worked for obama",
attacking "little pencil neck" schiff, ocasio cortez and her "deranged" supporters
says it's all a hoax, is part of a coup. this on 600 radio stations and will spread to 1500 radio stations designed to push gop senators and the new AG into more obstruction. whether they actually start investigations or not it will enable more denial and obstruction of mueller and release of the actual report. even if the report is released much of the base will believe this version and that the actual report was all made up.
with this crap selling for another year on 1500 stations without challenge from the left, there is no way to get those senators to impeach

(10,839 posts)think and feel, the exhausting, endless drama, the gushing spew of malice and ignorance.
Which is why we need to do everything we can to rid ourselves of the Trumpster and his odious acolytes.
But classical music, reading a good book or even daydreaming of a better day are definitely tonics to the craziness.
Keep the faith.

In that respect, the Repubs already won. The agenda that Dems ran on haven't been even discussed for the most part.

(358 posts)Growing tired of Trump theater is the strategy. I'm tired and most people are tired of it. I have to keep away from the news sometimes because I get burned out by all the craziness. But we have to say engaged and enraged because the Tump/GOP/oligarchy movement would benefit if we did not.

(33,416 posts)The Trump theater has exposed the depth of depravity in many areas -- the NRA, the Russiapublicans (especially Moscow Mitch), our home-grown oligarch class and the influence they buy, tv "news", and about a third of the electorate. If the narcissistic opportunist had not seized the spotlight to take over the Republican primary, the plans to make permanent the rule by extremist minority coalition, a.k.a. Republican party with Russian mob backing, may have succeeded.
We need to expose and publicize the corruption to encourage the public to vote the bastards out. Getting complacent will let the GOPer rust continue its destruction of good government.

(53,410 posts)I watch Rachel Maddow because from the beginning she promised her show would not talk about his latest tweets. That they would only follow what he does and ignore what he says. She was prescient and has kept her promise.
Im not exactly ignoring what he does because that is newsworthy, but in order to stay sane I have to not hear his lying voice. That eliminates most shows.

(1,915 posts)My fear - also expressed by other DU members is that we acclimate to the nonsense. And that's
what it is: non-sense. Non-rational behavior leveraged by powerful bad actors as a cover (a distraction)
for their own vulgar ends. Time is running out. Mindful persons must find a way to throw
sand in the gears. My feeling is that going inside to find a happy place is rightfully a prelude to action.
