Trump is weak. The Republicans are even weaker.

Trump is going to have to cave on his "wall" money.

He and the Senate Republicans shut down the government and the American people blamed them for doing it, meaning that a little bit of reality is getting through to a lot of people, and that's the beginning of the end for this gang of criminals.

The Republicans know that they can't shut the government down again this week. They're going to have to accept a deal with the Democrats and Trump is going to have to accept it.

Trump and the Republicans will get less from this deal than from the bipartisan spending bill that Trump rejected in December.

In politics, this is a huge loss. The Republicans bet everything they had and they lost.

Trump is used to losing. All his businesses fail. Losing is familiar territory for Trump. He'll just continue to lie and bluster his way to the next "deal," on his way to his next loss.

The Republican Party is not used to losing something this big. They can't be happy about a fail of this magnitude. And there's nothing bright ahead. It's tax season and the middle class is mad at them. The Democratic-controlled House is poised to investigate...everything.... and at the very least that will keep the Republicans on the defensive.

Watch out for a false flag operation.

Nancy Pelosi is smart and strategic. She will keep the House moving forward against the Republicans, but ultimately we the people must step up and fight for our country and our beliefs.

and fear-monger their base that the a socialist gov will tax them to death, outlaw "Merry Christmas," and make employers hire black and Hispanic people over whites.

What else do they have?

Don't underestimate the political impact of this kind of failure. The media are doing their best to sweep it under the rug, but the real, actual impact of closing the government for over a month - and getting LESS from that maneuver than the Republicans would have gotten if they'd never done it - will linger for years.

Behind closed doors I'm sure that the Republicans in the Senate are seething at Trump.

It they haven't figured it out yet, they can just look at their tax refunds. Oh, so you say they aren't getting the tax refund they anticipated, they owe Uncle Sam taxes???

Most Democrats are not going to view the Democratic compromise on this as a betrayal.
