His slow walking appointments to the House Intelligence Committee has shown where his true loyalties lie and they are not with America or the American people. Lock him up!

(45,806 posts)I heard the report this AM and am curious about what made him finally concede? The report I heard said he named the same people who were on the committee while they were in the maj. and the ones who are not named either resigned from congress or lost their election in Nov. so it couldn't have been that he was deciding who to [put on the committee.

(4,599 posts)Actual, properly functioning, legit oversight by the Dem-run committee, and someone finally holding members this corrupt clusterfuck of an administration accountable, will fully expose the complete dereliction of duty by the last committee. Their many, many failures will be undeniable (and I think possibly criminal conspiracy and/or obstruction).
Plus, while the investigations and subpoenas are underway, you-know-who will likely be pitching fits on Twitter, calling the R committee members out by name for their 'lack of loyalty' to him.
That's a tough sell.
Ugh. I cannot wait for sanity and normalcy to return. 2020 can't come fast enough!

(4,599 posts)Along the lines of "if no one is showing interest, I'll just have to reappoint the same people."
Option B: a quick round of Not It.
ETA: The foot-dragging is likely just more obstructionist bs, but while reading the reports about it the past few days, I couldn't help but think, "what R would want that assignment? They're gonna get their clocks cleaned!"
(And I pictured that weasel McCarthy scurrying around, begging people to take the job. Picturing him helplessly scurrying makes me happy, lol!)

After all without people like Nunes to leak whats being discussed out they would be in the dark on things like what information has been uncovered.

They did the 2000 election thing. They lost, but the supremes gave it over.
Sometimes I just want to give up, throw in the towel, but I keep on because it is the thing to do for our children.
