Are the democrats satisfied with their base..

Or are they going to try and capture some of stumpys?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/29/politics/donald-trump-nancy-pelosi-2020-power/index.html

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris focused directly on Trump's character on the second day of her campaign, during a CNN town hall event in Iowa on Monday.
"It's very important that anyone who presents themselves as a leader and wants to be a leader will speak like a leader," Harris said, not mentioning the President by name but leaving no doubt about her target.

"That means speaking with integrity. It means speaking truth. It means speaking in a way that expresses and indicates some level of interest and concern to people other than oneself. And so, right there we will see a great contrast."

Will it take less emphasis on honesty and integrity, which cheetozs followers ignore anyway?
Would democrat runners be willing to tell the 30%ers what they want to hear?

1. Democrats often do not agree with each other about what their base is.

I'm more concerned about the way you use the word "democrat." Are you, by some chance, not a Democrat?

For example, Democrats do not say "democrat runners." They say, "Democratic runners." Democrat is a noun. Democratic is the adjective form. It is also capitalized when referring to the political party, which is the "Democratic Party."

which I just did. It's one of my pet peeves. We can't let the Republicans decide how we refer to ourselves.

Not all of them are racist bigots. Analysis of 2016 shows a surprising number who shifted from Obama to Trump.

6. I think most of the ones who aren't bigots have already figured that out.

The rest are unreachable. I wouldn't bother, but would focus on bringing Democrats back to the polls in 2020.

I’m mostly curious to see how Kamala connects with midwest, middle america - I’m not even sure she’s ever been to that part of the country as she lived all her life in Cali.

10. If we had reached 77,001 of them in Ohio, Michigan, and PA last time, HRC would have been President.

Democratic policies will help everyone, including disaffected white people in rust belt states. We might as well talk about that too.

One could also argue that the number of folks purged from the voting rolls effectively gave us dolt45. Was the difference really about a few thousand people who changed their minds in a few states? Or, was it really about the millions of legal voters whose names were removed from the voting rolls after the gutting of the Voting Rights Act? Did that many people really switch from supporting President Obama to support the entity that now occupies the white house? Or, was the voting electorate different in those formerly Obama precincts?
Not saying that we should not attempt to speak to those who've voted for tRump. I'm just saying that changing our message to appeal directly to them may not be a good idea. We should focus on our base and work to restore those who've been removed from the rolls.

And I didn't advocate changing our message other than adding that our policies will help everyone, not just the few.

I just want to make sure that we are not so focused on a few thousand here and there that we miss the millions being stolen in broad daylight. Apologies.

Democratic runners? Lord, as if we don't have enough b.s. to worry about,
now we need to "look" and "talk" ...correctly...

Not me...

It will be interesting to see how they promote themselves to the wingers...

What they want to hear are racist, sexist homophobic blathering. No Democratic candidate would ever try to tell them what they want to hear.
