(3,836 posts)When I told the guy "from Apple" who called me [to warn me that someone was trying to hack my cloud] that I don't even use the cloud, that it is not even open on my computer ..he stammered something and began his spiel again so I told him again.. and he hung up on me.

(7,715 posts)...that you've noted down their name, phone number (from caller ID, but probably being spoofed) and presumably email addresses or websites where they want you to process payment and will be forwarding all of this to investigative authorities like the FBI and comparable state agencies.

(42,550 posts)I've got a link to the Rick Astley song on my desktop and I play along with them long enough to launch the video and crank up the volume. Just when they think they've got a live one, Bam! "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down..." By the time the video is over, they have hung up on me.
