Why does nobody ever ask if being a Baptist or Methodist disqualifies them from serving in government?

I thought it was a bit odd to include the modifier "Roman." The vast majority of Catholics in the US are Roman Catholic. The specificity would be warranted only if one were Coptic, Byzantine, or Chaldean, among others. Even then - why?
