The optics of this situation would be totally different if Turtle Head would allow a vote. Then dump would have to veto it. It would be nice to have the votes to overturn the veto but I doubt it. What does dumpster have on McConnell.. does he have ruskie connections too?

3. McConnell is likely up to his neck in

knowing about Trump's activities related to Russian hacking in 2016.

But one of the more likely aspects of his toadyism to Trump, IMO, is that McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, is the Secretary of Transportation in Trump's Cabinet. If McConnell shows any sense whatsoever, Trump will likely fire her in retaliation.

She got that job because Mitch KNEW the fix was in, and that was his payoff for towing the line then. I can only guess, but their real payoff will come when he gets to weigh in on a new budget, complete with DoT infrastructure projects (and related supply and equipment shipping from China that Her/his family will make a serious killing from).

If she wanted a future in govt, there's more 'politically' lucrative Departments they could have asked for. This would be about them using govt connections to make lots and lots of grifter cash off the Family Bidnezz. It's all about the timing....just a little longer, thinks the Senate Turtle King...
