Why Trump hates and mistrusts foreign alliances

My theory is that Trump hates foreign alliances, because they imply that the US live up to its commitments and treaties. That the US pitch in with treasure and military to defend allies. The last thing that Trump wants is to be held accountable to a promise. No agreements, no commitments leaves him free to try to do whatever he likes without the obligation to hold up his end of an agreement.
"America First" is just another manifestation of his own "me first" and screw everyone else.

1. Well, he's perfectly happy with foreign alliances when they are feeding him money

He's withdrawing troops for little Putin and is protecting the murderer in Saudi. So, as long they are bribing him he's good to go.

2. It might be even simpler than that: They're foreign.

Trump doesn't travel except back and forth to his golf courses and resorts, and a couple of times to Russia so he could try to make a hotel deal and ogle beauty pageant contestants. He doesn't like anything different or unusual. He doesn't speak another language. He eats KFC and well-done steak. He's not interested in anything outside his comfort zone, which is very small. Foreign leaders are OK only to the extent they seem to like and agree with him because everything is personal. Whatever is going on in the world is of no interest to him if it doesn't affect him.

The day we are rid of that criminal in our White House, his family and all the sycophants putting self interest above of the people they serve, will be our first step to recovery of all that's been lost or stolen.
