He doesn't want the Wall...What he wants is to talk about the Wall, and fight about it.

Ezra Klein

Trump’s posturing on the wall is among his biggest cons. He doesn’t want the wall. If he did, he’d make a deal to get it. What he wants is to talk about the wall, and fight about it.

It’s reality TV, not governing.

He doesn't really want much of anything he fights about, he just wants the fight. He doesn't care enough to have any firm policy preferences.

The Macho posturing is all but for show that stokes even more FEAR and divides Americans .

It will not be long when the orange turd is completely exposed as more dirt comes to the surface now that Michael Cohen is going to prison.

He is obsessed with publicity, and bad publicity has the advantage of letting him fight it, thereby creating more press.

He hasn't even spent money from last year. Money for border security which could not be spent on wall.

What this means to me is that he REALLY doesn't care about border security at all. He wants to build something to honor his crooked name. That's why he doesn't want to compromise, he's afraid more money will be only for that stupid security part.

Totally agree with that statement, but disagree with your subject title.

Donald Trump very much desires the wall because it would be a lasting monument to Donald Trump. His ego knows no bounds.

the GOP think tanks using the issue to help sell voter suppression.

the wall is an actual thing to this fucking idiot. like when he tried to get the russians to get hilary's emails and they had to tell donnie jr there was nothing there, they actually believed some of that talk radio bullshit.

shumer and pelosi should be saying to trump "donald, that's what limbaugh says, but...."

From Operation Trump, by Gabriel Sherman April 3, 2016:

Throughout 2014, the three, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, and Sam Nunberg fed Trump strategy memos and political intelligence. “I listened to thousands of hours of talk radio, and he was getting reports from me,” Nunberg recalled. What those reports said was that the GOP base was frothing over a handful of issues including immigration, Obamacare, and Common Core.

biggest political mistake in history is the ignorance of talk radio the last 30 years by most americans, including 99% of media and political analysts, who continue to study fish without water. kremlin's probably been using it for 10 years, while our media and poli scientists are trying to analyze the trump phenomenon as if talk radio didn't exist

Promoting threats and fear of threats is the basis of all Republican rhetoric.

His comment was also spot on. PINO needs a wall to keep a promise for the last election, and he needs it no to be built so he can rant about it in 2004.

Therefore, he needs a wall that does, and doesn't exist.
