1. So she used her star power to help Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young get started?

Talk about a big outcome for them and her. Some future big careers on that stage that night.

3. When I became aware of her and even CSNY, their careers were already on oldies.

I like their stuff when I hear it and I remember the 80's CSN songs.

I have said that many times in my life. It truly was a remarkable time to be young.

Joni Mitchell was always one of my favorites.

she was so lucky growing up in the 20s...so wild and glam...I had no idea the 60s were coming for me !! When the 80s came with MTV and Madonna it was so weird...we had one guy or girl on stage with an instrument. And we had our radios...we used our imaginations BEFORE we could afford to see our idols live.

Whew!

I didn't see your birthday post from the weekend. Is there a link?

You're probably aware that she has a website: http://jonimitchell.com/

Old musician and long-time Joni fan here.

8. Graham Nash was talking about her when he played on Cape Cod in 2017

He and Joni were talking at some L.A. area party in the early seventies. She took him home and he didn't leave for three years. They are still close. She had a brain aneurysm a few years back, but is hanging in there, and he visits regularly.

14. Obviously, Nash put it in different terms

Although I wonder why he even mentioned seeing her if she detests him? Whatever happened between them, it must have been traumatic if she expresses herself in such terms forty years after the split.

16. he dumped her on Crosby's boat the Mayan

so she went ashore...heartbroken...then in his book, which came out before hers, he told a way different story....she was very angry at him for making her the bad guy....there was also some deal about the boat getting busted for drugs and he dragged her into that....read her book, she holds grudges....and doesn't suffer fools gladly..she wouldn't speak to him today...he is pretending...

Of course he is gonna brag about her, who wouldn't?

Google the pic of his first wife, then google the 20ish year old he dumped her for...they look like twins( at the same age)..

I love Nash but with women???? Kind of a heel...

Considering the crowd and the era, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still disappointing to hear. If it was as bad as you describe, I don't blame her for holding a grudge. So would I.
