(279 posts)2. Minor point -- SDNY is not pardon proof.
SDNY is the FEDERAL court in Manhattan. The charges against Cohen in SDNY are FEDERAL charges, and therefore amenable to a pardon. Pardon proof would be charges under NY state law brought in a NY state court. That hasn't been done yet.

It sounds like he wasn't as helpful to SDNY as he was to the special counsel.

and Cohen was probably less forthcoming about his personal finances than Russia and Trump admin stuff. Which is why they didn't cut him a deal.
