Let me say whole-heartedly that I am a big Pelosi fan. I used to live in San Francisco. She is the most effective Dem leader of the last 50 years, if not longer. Boehner and Ryan cannot hold a candle to her. Effective means that she get stuff accomplishment through a wise use of compromise and consensus building.
Some opposing her may be well-intentioned for change. Some may have their own selfish reasons. But they clearly do not understand the fundamental law of change: Change occurs when their is a critical mass, who agree, "We want this change. This one right here."
Without critical mass, everything else is a process towards a possible outcome, or just so much useless windmill-tilting.
I submit that Pelosi opposers are in the later category.

(5,376 posts)They want to promote Republican ideas. Where is the change in that? Their entire motivation is to completely block any change by allowing Republicans to introduce legislation, which will just bog things down and give the media the excuse to ignore the Democratic sponsored bills.
