for congresscritters.

But, nothing says they can't start a recall petition, even if it's just for show. Get under his lizard skin with it and it may help get him to quit.

who are feeling "de-privileged" by too much equality comes to mind.

Well, this very privileged white male's coming from the right of our party, but he's going to have competition from those on the left who are trying the same thing. Populist resentments against "the establishment" draw from across the whole spectrum of not just our, but all parties. Webb lost to both Sanders, who did it better, and to Trump, who did it a lot better. And they all lost to Hillary.

Someone said the crowd let him know in no uncertain terms that they disapproved of his efforts to defeat Pelosi.

the back ! They elected the Grey Man of Politics, John Major as Prime Minister, and went on to be routed in one of the largest electoral defeats since the Great Reform Act of 1832, in 1997.

that was going to lose them the next election in 18 months time (the first thing John Major did was to reverse it). And she was being increasingly nutty and divisive inside her own party about Europe (for instance, she had opposed German reunification). The situtation, compared to Pelosi having just led a 'blue wave', could hardly be more different.
