One little girls caravan story and how we can help.....

Hi, everyone. This is Omar Rivero, Founder of Occupy Democrats.

I'm down at the border(Tijuana) with the Caravan, and would like you to meet my new friend, five-year-old Alexandra.

She is a child of the Caravan. When I first met her, she was crying due to thirst. I gave her a bottle of water -- the first drink of water that she enjoyed in over 24 hours. She and her family left Honduras, where her father, a bus driver, was threatened by a gang and given an ultimatum: become a drug mule or be killed. In fear for their lives, Alexandra, her parents, and two younger siblings have been walking for over a month... and they are one of thousands of families fleeing dangerous situations in their homelands for the sanctuary of America. Although they are scared of what the future holds, exhausted from the long journey, and sick from being exposed to the elements, they are bravely taking the risk for the promise of a better life.

You can help Alexandra and her family here: http://bit.ly/2qPDFsG. Your support will go toward housing, food, and legal support for asylum.
