Statement from Juan Granados, intent on pursuing charges against Tucker Carlson

Sorry this is an image. It is what Avenatti posted:

Link to Avenatti's tweet:

Here is a statement from my client regarding the incident with Tucker Carlson and Tucker's fabricated version of events. As a father of two teenage daughters myself, I find it disgraceful that Tucker seeks to justify his behavior by falsely hiding behind his family. #Coward

1. WHile I would dearly love all the bad karma possible and due to Carlson to be rapidly delvered

3. It gives Carlson something to whip up the frothing RWers on Fox and other RW "media"

Avenatti is bright, articulate, and not infrequently blinded by self-ambition. All ingredients for a backfire.

6. Did you see the video of Carlson attempting to eject someone from a public place?

How is that a positive thing for Carlson?

8. I'd hope you aren't suggesting I am defending Carlson. Among his audience it plays well.

What would be (proven) useful is extending boycotts against Fox in general and Carlson specifically re: his advertisers.

Avenatti, for all his strengths, has not been faring well in court decisions, though I appreciate the fight he brings to national media. If the victim here wants to sue, I'd encourage him to get a "second opinion" on his likelihood of prevailing first.

10. The video shows what happened. Seems there's a strong case.

From what I understand Avenatti is asking for assistance in naming the people involved in trying to eject people from a public place, but for some reason many here seem to automatically be against anything associated with him.

Videos don't lie (except doctored ones like Sarah Sanders tweeted). There will likely be a settlement with Carlson and others involved coughing up some money.

11. As I said, I hope the victim gets a legal second opinion, including Avenatti as appropriate

(especially) for the media rebuttal. I don't declaim Avenatti's participation but his self-interest does need to be taken into consideration. Once a case hits the courts, another collaborating lawyer may well be better received.

And, no, raw videos don't lie for those who are not taken in by the RW lies. The latter, however, likely includes quite a few RW judges.

7. However This Incident Gets Resolved, It's Important to Stand Up to Bullies

Giving bullies a pass only encourages their bad behavior. I'm guessing it will be the underage drinking that receives the strictest punishment, although the bar has some responsibility for that. With Avenatti on the case and his history of taking matters into the court of public opinion, there will likely be a settlement so it all goes away.
