(60,026 posts)going to be warm (76) but day - Showers and a heavier t-storm; storms can bring flooding downpours, large hail and damaging winds - and evening night - A thunderstorm early, then a little rain; thunderstorms can be strong, perhaps severe...

(16,508 posts)These breathless, panicked weather posts always pop up at election time. The weather will not be a factor. It rarely is.

(31,261 posts)Maybe your state does not have early voting. Here is Florida, I prefer to get my vote in. I voted on the first day of in person early voting in my county. The weather was nice, better than what may happen on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov 6).

(28,992 posts)Snip: The ebb and flow of the election cycle generally is and its not true in every single state but it is true in the national aggregate Republicans tend to run up the score early with the absentee vote, Democrats come back strong with a pretty massive surge in in-person early voting, then on Election Day the vote tends to be closer to parity with a slight Republican lead, said Tom Bonier, the chief executive of TargetSmart, a data analytics firm that has collected early voting figures. Republicans tend to have to play catch up on Election Day.

(22,614 posts)even risking their lives or safety just to be able to cast their ballots oftentimes with not much choice of candidates.
Here in the U.S. there are too many people for whom any reason is enough to choose skipping voting like they'll melt if they go out in the rain. Pretty sad.
It's too bad about the weather because we had some absolutely gorgeous days for the last week of October here in Wisconsin.
But if the weather won't stop you from doing lots of superficial and unimportant things it should stop you from casting your vote to help your nation.
