If voters on the Left are too stupid and too childish in needing to be excited and motivated to vote then those people deserve what they get. When the winner of nearly every important election is either going to be the Democratic candidate or the Republican one it is our duty to get out and vote for the Democrat.

BOTH Sanders and Biden are old and white. It's time for some new, young blood in the Democratic Party.

Polls this far out don’t matter very much. After the new Congress is sworn in, some early contenders will start to emerge.

Of course he is.

Maybe Democrats just don't want him.
That appears to be more likely than any other explanation.

and I'm a Sanders supporter and like Joe. But the rightwing has seized on "Creepy Joe" as well as his conduct in the Thomas-Hill hearings. Why, in the #metoo era, would Democrats want that baggage? Hell, Democrats got Franken to step down over a fucking photo...

I'm not 70 yet, but I agree--a new president ideally should be between 45 and 55. Obviously, if an incoming president is in his 40s, he had better be one hell of an intellect to have a successful presidency, because he will make mistakes at first. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama come to mind.

We have a like-minded soulmate in Howard Dean, who said (ten years ago) that an incoming president should be around 50. Howard will be 70 next month, by the way, and at this point, I'd prefer him over just about anybody, but he is 100% not interested. Even if he were, Judy would have him chained to the dining room table before agreeing to him taking on a job with national responsibilities again.

at his age and given what happened in 2016, even though he does still have a devoted little faction and most Americans now know his name. Rather, the Republicans, and no doubt Russia, have been pumping him up to use him against those who will be running as the Democratic candidates, as they've been doing all along.

Still, it's nice to see a poll result they haven't produced.

Bernie will run, but I don't think he will win the nomination. It's going to be Harris or Warren. I think Harris would be the better national candidate. Warren is an agitator. She would be better as Senate Leader.

Focus. If we don't take at least the House in a few weeks there won't be an election in 2020.
