or at least, they won't remove him unless and until they are sure they can get an equally repugnant replacement.

2. I don't know if that would be smart.

The stuff they're talking about him lying on isn't really provable. They can bring someone in that said he drank a lot in college, which he already admitted to. If he says he didn't black out, how do you disprove that in a court of law?

Regarding the yearbook stuff, we'd look amazingly petty to pull that shit out. He's confessed to being a virgin in HS and much of college. I don't know many men that would admit to that even if it was true, and a we're going to accuse an admitted virgin of taking alcohol anally? Based on a single 36 year old yearbook reference? That doesn't really pass the smell test.

Our best shot to keep him off the court is to flip Flake, Murkowski and Collins, and make sure Manchin does vote for him even if it costs him his seat.

Now if we could call hearings next week, that might have better optics. But the soonest we could have a Dem lead hearing would be in February, which is nearly 5 months away.

6. I pledge to donate $500 to DU if that perp walk occurs

I'm pretty certain my money will remain in my pocket. When has there ever been a "perp walk" of someone in cuffs for lying to Congress?

He has lied under oath about receiving stolen Democratic memos, lied under oath about torture memos. He appears to have issues with the truth.

10. They aren't going to impeach him for perjury. That would be a waste of capital.

Now, if he does get confirmed, I would imagine at least one person will file charges against him in Maryland. If he is found guilty, that would be something that would make sense to impeach for. And, really, a necessity.
