others ask to be included on the committee and if there is vacancy, they are accepted as members. Number of members in committee is based on party strength in senate. Since republicrats are in majoriy in senate, they get more members in committee.

You're referring to when they say Democrat Party, I know. So, the equivalent insult would be to say Republic Party (which some people already do).

"Republicrats" is confusing. It seems to imply a politician that's some kind of hybrid.

At the beginning of each session, each senator informs leadership what Committee assignments they want. After lots of back and forth, the leaders decide who will serve on what committee and this isn’t based on lots of factors, usually having nothing to do with seniority. Most senators are limited to two committees, unless they’re a chair. The Republicans pick their committee members and the Democrats pick theirs. Judiciary is considered to be one of the plum assignments.

Unlike memberships, chairmanships and ranking member positions are usually (but not always) determined by seniority.
