—and Musk will step down as chairman of the company’s board for at least three years, while retaining his position as CEO. Tesla will also be required to appoint two new independent directors to its board and undergo additional changes to its corporate governance. The settlement still requires court approval.


Basically, this is just "you need to grow up and act like a real company, it's not your personal playground."

If he was some POC that tweeted, "robbed the bank branch, money secured", cops would find that person with long rifles and if the person was lucky enough to live once found, put that person in jail for a long time.

Please don't confuse the issue, he settled because he knowingly did something that should be criminal, and smoking a joint don't remotely qualify for criminality.
