because neither candidate inspired them. He lit into them; this isn't about being inspired by a person. You don't have to like someone to vote for them, only their imo future positive effectiveness. Didn't happen obviously.

Michael Moore calls Obama a ‘huge disappointment’

<Moore continued: “When the history is written of this era, this is how you’ll be remembered. He was the first black president. OK, not a bad accomplishment. But that’s it. That’s it, Mr. Obama. A hundred years from now, (it’ll be noted that) he was the first black American that got elected president. And that’s it — eight years of your life and that’s what people will remember.”>

I tried listening with an open mind, but was irritated by the non-voters.

The armed forces exercises were disturbing... I wonder why we never heard about it.

Flint has been through hell, that is for sure.

Now Detroit has contaminated water in the schools (the water has probably been contaminated for longer than we know).

These non-voters on Chris Hayes tonight are really pissing me off!!! People like you share responsibility for those who will die due to Repug policies, like dismantling ACA, making abortion illegal, failing our Puerto Rican citizens, etc. Don't act all high and mighty like you made some noble fucking choice. You bear as much blame as those who supported Trump directly.

Chris Hayes: "The difference is whether people get poisoned or not (re:Flint)! Who cares if they're inspiring?!"

was MM telling the story about the UAW strike in Flint and the amazing quality of life improvements the auto workers and then others got because of union organizing.

Flint sit-down strike

(I've always assumed this was part of the motive for corporations later moving a lot of jobs offshore where there were lots of workers who were not organized and possibly never would be. I've even wondered if that was part of the reason Nixon went to China: gain access to an endless supply of cheap labor. )
