How to win mid-terms? Ask Repubes about impeachment.

Dem. candidates are told not to mention impeachment or issue positive statements about it. But what about asking Repub. candidates what would warrant impeachment? If they answer, "Nothing.," publicize that.

If they answer, "Well, maybe........," that will weaken their position with the Trump base who believe nothing warrants the removal of Trump.

It should be front and center. No issue is more important to so many people. All other issues depend on perp walking the lsos.

If you don't have the House you can't impeach. We don't have the House.

If you don't have 67% of the Senate you can't convict. We don't have 67% of the Senate.

If you have no chance of getting 67% of the Senate you have no chance of convicting alone. We have no chance of getting 67% of the Senate.

Thus we can't threaten impeachment and conviction.

Threatening impeachment alone (IF we win the House) is almost an idle threat. Doing it once to get RepubliCons and Senate RepubliCons on the record has some merit but it is not much of a threat. And until we have the House (IF) then it is an idle threat.

My next post says what we CAN do in these mid-terms.

5. The problem all along with Democrats has been that they don't have the balls to make threats.

The election of Trump should be an indication of how treats work in driving voter numbers.

6. It's not a question of some sexist gender-denying definition of courage.

Democratic women are as courageous and perhaps more so than men, given what they face almost every day if not more often.

Trump is all about threats, not treats. But more so than his threats, which have proven to be almost all idle, his technique for driving voters (his base) is fear. But that is the ages-old CONservative and RepubliCON technique.

Progressives are positive and don't make fear their main argument.

People who get things done don't make many threats. They act.

Please be progressive and socially advanced and drop the sexist gender-exclusive sexual metaphor.

2. Tell the voters that the only people talking about impeachment are...GOPukes

Simple as that. The KGOP is trying to create a faux issue supposedly aimed at hanging the topic around our necks. Much better, IMHO, is for every spokesperson for the DEMOCRATIC (sorry, Mr. Trump, that's how you should say it) Party to point out that the KGOP is the only group seriously talking about this topic. Hey, maybe they know something we don't.

And DU is the Dem base. It's not a 'faux issue' by any stretch.

Pelosi knows if we push that talking point in the elections, the GOP will come out to vote in droves to ensure they win.

It's really not that complicated.

impeachment. So far, THEY have not been called on it. They get to skate.
