(10,437 posts)I have given public education talks on the ESA for years and it is a sin against nature and all life on earth to do anything to weaken this law. It isn't strict enough to do the job we need it to do considering the condition of the biosphere at this point.

If we elect liberal Democrats, and stay away from the center-left corporate controlled type of Democrat, we can quickly flip the rulings now being made or proposed by the corporatists who do not care about the Act or the species it protects.
If we do not have a liberal influence in congress, then the damage being done to the Act today, may be allowed to stand unless there is a huge uproar within the Democratic Party electorate.
