a big deal, both for staying with one company that long, and because she started out when it was still very much a male-dominated industry and made a name for herself.

She wanted to cover the Chernoble incident but management, all the way to the top, said no because she was of child bearing age and the radiation could make her sterile.

"Every one of the men you send has balls, what about them?"

She got to make the trip . . .

There was a day when she was something special. She spent that capital unwisely, quite some time ago.

If they have a day for her for what she was once, i suppose i'm ok with that.

If it's for her journalistic achievements in the last 5 years, not so much.
