(18,319 posts)Cuomo worked hard, and we've made (and will continue to make) progress in NYS. We had a real raise in the minimum wage which will continue to increase annually until 2021, and workers are now eligible for 12 weeks of paid family leave.
In addition, CUNY and SUNY colleges are now tuition free for in-state students who fall within certain income guidelines. Cuomo has gotten some good things accomplished since the last election.

Yeah, Nixon is all accusing Gov Cuomo of lying to get their endorsement. Poor Loser.

(18,319 posts)Likewise for the governors denial that he had ever supported any candidates who had worked against L.G.B.T. rights, even though he has closely aligned himself with officials like Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, who voted against same-sex marriage in 2011. (Mr. Crespo, who told reporters on Wednesday that he would no longer vote the same way, also won the clubs endorsement.)
Ms. Nixon also answered no to the question. Her likely running mate for lieutenant governor, Jumaane Williams, has also said he was personally opposed to same-sex marriage, although he has affirmed his support for its legality.

(297,655 posts)people have evolved on the Same Sex Marriage issue.
I was always for whatever people who love each other want to do. But, there are other issues where I have evolved. So I know what it's like.. not all of us can be perfect like a certain someone who thinks he is.

I'd be surprised if greenwald already hadn't lumped Stonewall in with Emily's List and John Lewis!

(25,618 posts)but since I don't know anything about New York politics, had no idea if her complains were valid or not. I was just so happy that the criticisms were specific and about a real live person with a name and face rather than vague claims of corruption by shadowy Establishment Democrat elites. This is what it's come to. Sad!
