As an aging baby boomer, the thought of getting my fat wrinkled ass off the couch and marching in the summer heat can be discouraging. I'm tempted to say, "let the kids do it. Protests are for the young". These pics remind me that protecting democracy is my duty for as long as I live. I don't have the energy or stamina of someone half my age, but I'll do all I can.

(35 posts)I'm 62 and was out protesting yesterday. Perhaps it is up to my generation to teach the younger people to get their heads out of their phones and stand up for their rights.

(10,148 posts)and we'er both 70 this year. It was like trying to breathe water! We were going to go circle the plaza where they were and beep with a sign, but happily, it was too busy (farmers market day and street blocked). Lots of good news coverage too! (Appleton, WI)
We watched the protests most of the day on CNN (MSNBC was not good after AM Joy).
