Donald Trump and his administration have cruelly separated thousands of children from their families. Now they're jailing families -- and they haven't yet reunified the families already brutally torn apart.

But we won't allow it to continue. On June 30, we're rallying in Washington, D.C., and around the country to tell Donald Trump and his administration to permanently end the separation of kids from their parents. End family internment camps. End the "zero-humanity" policy that created this crisis. And reunify the children with their parents.

Trump and his administration have been systematically criminalizing immigration and immigrants, from revoking Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to ramping up intimidating ICE tactics.

1. We're going to the rally in Flint

This part of Michigan is under an excessive heat warning so I put some bottles of water in the freezer and I am bringing a case of water, just in case.

I hope the weather conditions don't keep people away!

3. We should keep in mind the heat that the immigrants in detention facilities

are facing every day and they get no relief. We are not snowflakes, we are tough, strong, and ready for any obstacles that are thrown at us (even mother nature's flare ups). Civil disobedience and resistance works and we will be fighting this admin all Summer long and into Fall and the midterms.

18. That is a great point - I'll share it at the rally

For 4 years I participated in a weekly anti Iraq War protest in ALL kinds of weather. Fortunately, though, we were standing on grass and soil. Today we are meeting on a big, asphalt parking lot that's right in the center of the down town district.

I think I'll bring a paper fan, too.

We have calls to make, doors to knock on, and pavements to hit. Town halls will be held in every congress member's district and they will be hounded 24/7...this is just the beginning!

I've been to some big protests down in the city, but I figure my presence will be more meaningful in an outlying somewhat more conservative area.

As an aside, I've seen you on here for awhile and like your screen name. Pink Floyd's Animals was one of the first CDs I owned. Not one of their more popular albums but I've always been a fan! Also I like your activist bent. I probably don't do enough but I hope to do more as the fall elections approach.

10. I just had some friends fly back home to Atlanta and they aren't into protesting

so I am glad people like you and I can do it. We will be doing a lot more of it in the next few months as things get more extreme and dire.
