Constitutional? Where is the ACLU? What are your thoughts?

(118,456 posts)memo. Owners convinced players last year that Trump had the fans hating on the NFL. As if they are all in it together. It is never logical or fair how things like "free speech" are distributed across the US. That is a form of inequality in itself.

(11,863 posts)If indeed you have free speech at work, can you say anything you want to your boss and still keep your job?
Can I stand outside his house and hurl expletives at him after work and not be fired?

(11,863 posts)Specifically and those other things aren't. I am disappointed with the general ignorance people have of freedom of speech and where and when it applies.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the sincerity or motivation of the anthem protest
I call out someone who doesn't understand what the 1st really means regardless

(1,954 posts)Don't get me wrong, I support and encourage taking a knee during the anthem for political concerns. That said, as with any employer, acting against company/business policy is punishable by fines and/or termination. That's a standard employer/employee thing no matter where you go. The Constitution doesn't apply to private businesses.

(9,527 posts)It might help to know what's in it. Just because you really really really hate something, doesn't actually make it unconstitutional.
